Campgrounds, a place between
The rolling green and trees obscene
Where
the quiet bee toils at task
And the drinking man soils his flask
But
the sky is blue above clouds of gray
And stressful cares melt miraculously away
With
a sniff of swamp and chirp of bug
And an easy toke of a fist-sized nug

Campgrounds, a place not far
From the place where people park their car
And
walk around and enjoy each other
For each and everyone is your brother
Or
your sister depending on your gender
We're all from God or Allah, or whoever's your sender
The
same enity who made these reeds and pine
That grow in this haven where we spend our time
Where
we cook, and laugh and cavort and chill
And imbibe and indulge till we get our fill
And
prepare ourselves for those three nights
Of spectacle, pomp and fantastic sights
And
we'll gather at Deer Creek for a time sublime
And stand for seconds, minutes, hours in line
Where we'll all eat from a tasty, delectable dish
And see four fellows from Vermont collectively known as Phish
